About This Role:

eir evo are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their Finance team. 

**This role is a 12 month fixed term contract and requires the successful candidate to be in the Dublin HSQ2 Office 3 days per week.**
 

Objectives

  • To deliver complete and accurate eir evo monthly management accounts in line with Group timescales.
  • To provide monthly financial reports and packs as may be required.
  • To provide accurate input and support in preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit.
  • To provide financial support to the Financial Controller on all aspects of eir evo end to end financial management (Financial Control, Financial Reporting, Source to Pay, Cost reporting, Systems management)
  • Work closely with the Sales, Commercial and Service directors on day to day activities plus operational and strategic direction.
  • To provide support as may be required on HR, payroll, office, property, and Revenue reporting
  • Support integration of eir evo systems, processes and finance team into eir group structure

Expectations From The Role:

Reporting

  • Preparation of month end financial reporting pack for review within agreed timelines
  • Prepare various monthly reporting reconciliations and journals as required
  • Weekly cashflow reporting and monitoring of working capital requirements
  • Regular financial snapshot reporting to management
  • Oversee the external and internal audit process
  • Reconciliation of inter-company balances         

Tax     

  • Ensure business remains tax compliant and liaise with tax department as appropriate
  • Prepare and file VIES and VAT returns
  • Review and file the Intrastat returns
  • Prepare the Corporation Tax return
  • File Withholding tax claim forms and chase up refunds       

Payroll

  • Review monthly payroll
  • File the monthly PAYE returns     

Process Improvement

  • Review day to day operations of finance function and seek to eliminate inefficiencies
  • Review and update financial policies and procedures
  • Assist with internal training on financial procedures  

Other  

  • Manage creditor payment runs
  • Administration of accounting system
  • Carry out duties as may reasonable be required

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE
  • This position requires an individual with strong analytical and excel skills.
