Ability to prioritise and multi task your work load, whilst achieving your QQI Level 6 Telecommunications & Data Network Engineering Major Award.
Turning your newly learned skills to a variety of areas from installations and testing to the repair and maintenance of both the copper and Fibre telecom’s infrastructure.
Across the eir business, a Field Technician can go from construction activity such as cabling and splicing to installation of in-home wiring and customer services such as broadband, telephony and TV.
Requirements For A Successful Application:
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
A full driving licence on or before the end of September 2023.
Completed Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate equivalent (example A Levels) before September 2023.
Have passed 6 subjects in your Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied (Maths compulsory)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact up to senior management level.
Strong skills in planning, organisation, scheduling, problem solving and the resolution of conflicting priorities.

Problem solving through working with and influencing multiple stakeholders
Others:
Primarily field based role, you will be assigned either to Dublin/East Coast or Cork County.
Must be flexible to travel for internal class room training with eir trainers and mentor meetings. Off the job training will consist of 8 weeks a year (2 week blocks) attending the TU Dublin Campus, coupled with a 4 week induction during the first year of the programme. Accommodation and meals will be provided for those who are required to travel.
On successful completion you will be receive a QQI Level 6 Telecommunications & Data Network Engineering Major Award.

Flexible hours – early mornings and late nights
Programme commences March 2024
