About this Role

 We require an experienced HR Business Partner to support our business functions.

 

Why this Role?

 

As a HR Business Partner, you will work with the HR Director, wider HR team and Line Managers to support the specific business area highlighted above.  This role combines a blend of strategic and operational HR business leadership and is responsible for playing a key role in the design and implementation of various people, talent, culture and OD related initiatives. The successful incumbent will be highly commercial, dynamic, and have excellent influencing capabilities.

What is expected from the Role?

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business units to design and execute effective and engaging people strategies

  • Lead in the design and implementation of programs and initiatives that re-enforce a high performing culture e.g. performance and talent management, reward and recognition, employee engagement

  • Coach and facilitate the leadership / management teams to build organisational capability by utilising the range of strategic people related HR processes, including talent management, performance management and resource planning

  • Identify, design and develop business specific people related actions in conjunction with management teams to drive employee engagement

  • Work with established Centres of Expertise to develop effective HR solutions to meet business needs in areas such as recruitment, reward, talent, performance management and learning

  • Work closely with senior leaders & managers to coach, guide and share your expertise across the breadth of "people" interventions and will be an integral part of the local leadership teams you support

  • Provide in-depth advice and guidance to managers on strategic HR policies and procedures to ensure they are supported in their decisions and roles as people managers

  • Facilitate and drive strategic discussions with leaders on organisation design for accelerated growth plans

  • Leading and managing re-organisations including preparing business case rationales with business managers and able to communicate and collaborate with the wider HR team

  • Establishing strong stakeholder management relationships 

  • Supporting the Performance Management processes for staff

  • Support in the annual bonus and pay review process

  • Preparing ad hoc and monthly HR reports and reviewing trend reports

  • Co-ordinating the onboarding and offboarding tasks including inductions and exit interviews

  • Assisting in the maintenance of GDPR compliance within the HR department

  • Create sporadic updates/ reports on HR related matters

  • Other project work and ad hoc duties as required

Requirements for a Successful Application:


Knowledge, Experience & Profile
  • At least 10 years' organisational/HR business experience with a minimum of 5 years HR Business Partner/HRM experience, including experience working with and influencing senior management in large, complex multinational organisations

  • Experience working in a unionised environment

  • Strong experience across all areas of generalist HR remit; operations, resourcing, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, training & development.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation 

  • Sound judgment, credible and ability to deal with confidential information sensitively

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience manipulating and extracting large excel files to identify trends, pull reports and identify insights for the team and business units as appropriate.

  • Ability to organise own work efficiently, prioritise tasks within a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment

  • Comfortable to deliver tasks to tight and often-changing deadlines

  • Proactive approach, self-starter and willing to take initiative

  • Dynamic and energetic communication style 

  • Ability to build strong and credible relationships quickly

  • Ability to see key business priorities quickly and act accordingly

  • While a HR degree is not necessary it is an advantage, as is a Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) qualification
