Why This Role:

The successful candidate will report directly to our Head of Infrastructure Practice. The Backup & Disaster Recovery Consultant will have solid technical capability, excellent verbal and written skills and a high focus on the quality of work.

Expectations From The Role:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of backup & disaster recovery systems 

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of servers & storage area network 

  • Integration of server infrastructure into SAN 

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of hypervisor platforms (VMware, Nutanix, HPE VME, OpenShift) 

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux servers and associated services (RHEL, Ubuntu). 

  • Proactive monitoring of infrastructure and identifying potential problems (bottlenecks, misconfigurations). 

  • Compiling and producing technical documentation for all infrastructure layers. 

Requirements For A Successful Application:

  • More than 3 years of work experience in similar jobs 

  • Proven experience with Windows and Linux based scripting (PowerShell, bash, Ansible, Terraform, Python) 

  • Experience in working with automation, DevOps or containerization tools 

  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, HPE VME, OpenShift (Desirable) 

  • Working experience with Linux CentOS (Rocky), RedHat, Ubuntu (Desirable) 

  • Proven experience with Dell server, HPE Server or other relevant vendor servers. 

  • Experience with TCP/IP Networking 

  • Systematism and precision in work. 

  • Proactive approach and providing solutions 

  • Relevant vendor certification (VCP, NCP, RHSCA, VMCE, etc) (Desirable) 

  • Organizational and mentoring skills
