About This Role:

Reports to: Microsoft Practice Director
Location: Flexible, hybrid working from head office at HSQ2, Dublin.

Why This Role:

The Business Central (BC) Practice Lead is responsible for building and leading our Microsoft Business Central practice—shaping strategy, pipeline, delivery excellence, and partner engagement. You’ll drive presales and commercial growth, develop repeatable offerings, and ensure flawless delivery of Business Centralcentric solutions, including finance system migrations, workflow automation, and business process optimisation with Microsoft Power Platform.

Expectations From The Role:

Strategy

  • Define and execute the BC practice growth strategy aligned to our Microsoft “allup” plan, including annual goals for revenue, margin, certifications, and customer outcomes.

  • Build the practice roadmap for IP/accelerators (migration toolkits, process maps, automation templates).

PreSales

  • Partner with Sales to qualify, shape, and win opportunities; lead C level discovery, solution envisioning, demos, and proposals for Business Central, Power Platform, and integration scenarios.

  • Establish standard scoping models and commercial constructs for migrations and phased rollouts.

Opportunity Development

  • Identify a focused set of strategic accounts; create account plans, pursuit strategies, and executive relationships to land and expand Business Central footprint.

Commercial

  • Own practice level forecasting and performance; manage pipeline health, deal reviews, and resourcing to meet targets; support CSP/licensing motions where relevant.

Marketing

  • Shape go-to-market with Marketing & Comms (events, campaigns, case studies) centred on finance modernisation, migration, and process automation narratives.

Partnership

  • Lead the Microsoft relationship for Business Central—attend rhythmofbusiness reviews, drive program utilisation, incentives, audits, and joint events; curate the ISV ecosystem.

Solutions

  • Define the Business Central solution portfolio (implementation, migration, integration, managed services); align with product owners on offerings and pricing; socialise through sales enablement.

Deliverables

  • Oversee creation of solution documents, migration playbooks, discovery/workshop assets, sales enablement guides, and customer facing content.

Delivery

  • Sponsor delivery excellence—risk reviews, escalation handling, and quality gates; codify “ways of working” for BC projects including data migration, testing, and cutover.

Expertise & People

  • Build and lead a high performing team (architects/engineers); own certification plans and ongoing skills development; mentor senior talent.

Requirements For A Successful Application:

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven leadership of a Business Central or Dynamics 365 ERP practice/portfolio.

  • Deep experience with finance system migrations (e.g., legacy ERPs to BC), data mapping/cleansing, and cutover.

  • Strong grasp of business process mapping, workflow automation (Power Automate), lowcode extensions (Power Apps), and reporting/analytics (Power BI).

  • Comfortable with presales, commercials, and executive stakeholder engagement.
