About This Role:

Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data Science to build our data science capabilities. As the Head of Data Science & Reporting, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to drive future business strategy and performance. 

Expectations From The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the data science capability within open eir wholesale to address business challenges and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Open eir transformation programme, product management, networks, finance and all other business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities. Lead requirement definition and solution design sessions to create reporting solutions for key customers at all levels of the business including C level sponsors

  • Develop models, algorithms and analytics to extract insights from complex, large scale datasets.

  • Drive the development and implementation of predictive models and data visualization techniques to extract insights and inform decision-making.

  • Automate all daily, weekly and monthly reporting to enable resources to dedicate more time to future planning and strategy. Lead on delivery of urgent, high priority and sensitive ad-hoc reports and campaigns where required

  • Work with other Reporting and data science resources across eir group and independently  to establish  and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and privacy.

  • Communicate findings and insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Requirements For A Successful Application:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field

  • Proven track record of leadership in data science or related roles, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.

  • Strong technical skills in statistical analysis, and data visualization, with proficiency in programming languages.

  • Experience working with large datasets

  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving priorities and competing demands.
