About This Role:


eir evo are hiring for an Senior Monitoring Systems Engineer to join our Systems Architecture team. You will be working in an experienced team of systems specialists aligned to procedures based on ITIL Framework and governed by ISO 20000.

Expectations From The Role:

Duties:


• Administering and maintaining the Remote Monitoring & Management platforms

• Creating and managing policies deployed at a global level for all monitored infrastructure

• Access based roles and modifications

• Identifying gaps and common occurrences in the environment that require attention

• Problem ticket management by ITIL definition

• Designing monitoring services applicable for scalable use-case scenarios

• Automation of manual tasks using best industry toolsets: Powershell, Python, etc. Passionate about automation – never doing the same thing twice!

• Expert in system installation and configuration, automated monitoring systems, security hardening, automated management, patch management and installing third-party software.

• Disciplined planning and management of changes designed to improve the stability, performance, and security of product platform(s).

• Experienced in formal change management procedures, documentation, testing, validation, and rollback plans.

• Drive and/or participate in end-to-end improvement plans based on technology roadmaps and innovation

• Build relationships and develop processes with our partners to support effective technology management.

• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

Requirements For A Successful Application:

Experience & Technical Skills Required


• 5+ Years working in configuration, monitoring and management of complex customer environments from an MSP perspective

• Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) such as Kaseya VSA, Datto RMM

• Configuration, Management and Support of RMM applications and underlying windows infrastructure.

• A firm understanding of

o Microsoft Operating System Administration and Server roles

o VMWare Administration

o Firewall and Switching principles

o Management of Monitoring tools

o WMI & SNMP protocols

o Patch & 3rd party software management and policies


Desired


• Microsoft certifications MCSA

• Cisco CCNA level Certification

• Driving License

• Previous experience in / with

o Managed Services environment

o SQL database queries


The successful candidate will be dynamic and capable of delivering to a high standard despite constraints that may be in place. At times you will be working on your own so it is vital that you are trustworthy and capable of organizing and delivering on tasks with little direction. Excellent troubleshooting and communications skills are a must and would be relied on daily
